       TELEPHONE CALLS

  • A legal guardian can call their child by phoning the detention directly. Initially you will need to determine a code word that you will remember and you will be required to use that same code word each time you call in to speak with your child. The code word is not to be given to anyone else.  If it is determined that it has been given to another person it could stop all of your calling privileges.

  • Calls are limited to one fifteen minute call per day per juvenile. The call needs to be made during non-school hours and be made prior to 8:00 pm. (when the juvenile reaches level 3 Day 14 the juvenile is given a second call a day which would need to be a pre-approved relative.)

  • Calls to the juvenile’s worker/attorney will be made by detention staff during regular business hours. (9-5)

  • We ask that telephone calls not occur during meal times and groups.  (Breakfast 7:30-8:00 am, Lunch 11:30-noon, Group 3:30-4:30 and Supper 4:30-5:00 pm
